The short version
We have no accounts, no logins, no newsletter and no backend. We do not ask for your name, your email or your wallet address, and there is nowhere on this site to give them to us. Your browser fetches market data directly from third-party APIs — those requests do not pass through us.
What we store on your device
Two things, both local to your browser and both readable only by this site:
- Session storage — cached API responses, so moving between dashboards does not re-request the same data. Cleared when you close the tab.
- A single dismissal flag — recorded if you close the sticky call-to-action bar, so it stays closed for the rest of your visit.
Neither is sent anywhere. Clearing your browser data removes both.
Region detection
Some venues we link to cannot accept clients in certain countries, so before showing an outbound trading link we read two values your browser already exposes to every website: the time zone reported by Intl.DateTimeFormat, and your preferred interface languages. If they suggest a region the venue does not serve, the link is replaced with a neutral alternative.
This happens entirely inside your browser. No IP lookup is performed, no geolocation permission is requested, no third-party service is contacted, and the result is not stored or transmitted — nothing about your location reaches us or anyone else. If the guess is wrong, there is a "show the links anyway" control that records your choice in session storage for the rest of the visit.
Third-party requests
To display live data, your browser connects directly to: Binance (api.binance.com, fapi.binance.com), CoinGecko, CoinPaprika, DefiLlama, alternative.me, mempool.space, Owlracle, and the public APIs of Kraken, Coinbase and Hyperliquid. The last three are contacted only where Binance refuses requests from your location — see the methodology page. Each of those services sees your IP address and browser user-agent, as it would for any website you visit, and each has its own privacy policy. We have no agreement with them, receive nothing back from them about you, and cannot see those requests.
Outbound links
We link out to exchanges and data providers. Following a link takes you to that company's own site, under its own privacy policy — we receive nothing about you as a result, and we are not paid for the referral.
Analytics
This site currently runs no analytics, advertising or cross-site tracking scripts. If that changes we will update this page first and will use a privacy-preserving, cookieless tool rather than an advertising platform.
Your rights
Data protection law gives you rights of access, correction, erasure and portability over personal data a site holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing to access, correct, erase or export. If you believe otherwise, email hello@cryptodata.today and we will look into it.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16 and we knowingly collect nothing from anyone of any age.
Changes
Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page. Because the site collects no personal data, there is no stored contact list to notify.
